This notice explains how CELESTIAL collects, processes, and protects personal data of Data Principals located in India, and how you may exercise your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).

1. Data fiduciary

The operator of CELESTIAL is responsible for personal data processed through the service where it acts as Data Fiduciary. Requests can be sent to the contact in section 8.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Account data: name, email, phone where provided, and identifiers needed to maintain your account.
  • Astrological data: date, time, and place of birth used to compute your charts and personalize requested content.
  • Payment data: payment details and transaction records processed by payment providers. CELESTIAL application code does not intentionally store full card numbers.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, features used, consent choices, and technical diagnostics.
  • Conversation data: prompts, relevant context, and outputs processed to provide Divine AI and operate safety and quality controls.
  • Matchmaking data: profile details, preferences, photos, verification records, messages, family-manager details, safety reports, and location you choose to share.

3. Purpose & lawful basis

We process personal data to provide requested services and for consent-based or other permitted purposes where applicable. Specific purposes include:

  • Providing requested astrological, spiritual, and AI guidance services.
  • Billing, invoicing, and fraud prevention.
  • Communicating service updates, receipts, and (with separate consent) marketing.
  • Complying with applicable laws, including the PCPNDT Act, 1994.

4. Your rights as a Data Principal

  • Right to access: request a summary of personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure: request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations).
  • Right to grievance redressal: contact us using section 8.
  • Right to nominate: nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Right to withdraw consent: where processing depends on consent, use available controls or contact us to request prospective withdrawal.

5. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal or financial obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain operational records. The period depends on the data and purpose. Account deletion is subject to identity verification, legal holds, payment-record obligations, safety and fraud needs, and provider backup lifecycles. This notice does not promise an exact deletion or backup purge time.

6. Cross-border transfers

Service providers may process personal data in jurisdictions outside India. The provider, processing location, and applicable transfer safeguard depend on the service used. This notice does not claim a specific hosting geography or transfer mechanism.

7. Children

Matchmaking features are restricted to adults age 18 or older. A person under 18 must not create or manage a matchmaking profile, browse profiles, exchange matchmaking messages, upload matchmaking media, share matchmaking location, or complete matchmaking verification. If you believe a person under 18 used matchmaking, contact us using the address below. General platform age requirements are stated in the Terms.

9. Changes to this notice

We may notify you of material changes by email, in the service, or on this page as appropriate. The updated date will show when this notice changes.
